Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley is the home of Tibetan trip Tsumba. They have their own language and follow Tibetan Buddhism and ancient Bon religion. Polyandry is also commonly practiced in that region. The region is considered sacred. Killing of animals is completely prohibited by local law. Hundreds of monks and yogis have chosen Tsum Valley for meditation and spiritual practices. Since the region remained closely connected with Tibet, the government of Nepal put very less efforts for the development of this region. Mountain people from Tsum, yaks, sheep, villages along with mysterious mountains are beyond our imagination.

Tsum Valley Trek is the most secluded mountain Valleys trip to Nepal opened for tourists only in 2008. Tourists need special permits to visit Tsum Valley as it is categorized as a restricted region. Tsum Valley trekking trail takes you into a different world that is still unaffected by modernity. Tsum Valley has huge potential to promote Nepal as the best trekking destination in terms of culture, scenery, art and distinct dialect. Tsum Valley trek can also be combined with Ganesh Himal Base Camp trek as well as with Manaslu Circuit trek.

Thus, Tsum Valley trek can be arranged in different time durations ranging from two weeks to one month. Clear streams, pristine air, beautiful waterfalls, astounding mountains, foggy weather, and hot springs are main attractions of Tsum Valley trek. Though lodge/ home stay based accommodation is possible to arrange, camping would be exciting and worthy for Tsum Valley trek. It is also one of the treks possible to do in monsoon time. So trekkers can go for Tsum valley trek throughout the year.
